SEMARANG (Yosefardi) – The prosecutor team from the Semarang Prosecutor office demanded 2-4 years imprisonment to fourteen former local lawmakers of the Semarang Legislative Council (DPRD) during the Tuesday’s (Jan. 27) trial of graft case related to fictive insurance back in 2003.

In addition, the prosecutor also demanded the defendants to pay maximum Rp36 million of substitution to the state loses.

That said fourteen former Semarang lawmakers of the 1999-2004 facing the prison sentence are Ahmad Munif, Siti Markamah, Herman Yustam, Adhi Kuntoro, Idris Imron, Zaenuddin Buchori, Heru Widyatmoko, Otok Riyanto, Rudy Soehardjo, Leonard Andhik, Bambang Suprayogie, Fajar Hidayati, Sri Munasir, and Sugiono. They have been detained altogether since Sep. 18, 2014.

Previously, the Semarang Police office had named 17 suspects in this case. But two suspects have passed away. While one suspect has became fugitive. (haryantosuharman@yosefardi.com)
