Regional markets ended mixed. Singapore’s Straits Times, Australia’s All Ordinaries gained while Japan’s Nikkei and Malaysia’s KLSE fell 1.52% and 2.43% respectively.
In Jakarta bourse, Property stocks such as Alam Sutera declined 2.67%, Sentul City dropped 5.45%, and Lippo Karawaci lost 2.91%. While Bumi Serpong Damai gained 2.33%.
Among banking stocks, Bank Rakyat Indonesis shed 1.25% and Bank Mandiri down 1.72%. Other losers were Astra International (-0.65%), Borneo Lumbung (-1.79%), Perusahaan Gas Negara (-0.54%), Telkom (-2.04%), Trada Maritim (-0.77%), and Bakrie Sumatera Plantations (-1.03%). While Bumi Resources, Berau Coal, and Energi Mega closed unchanged.
Crude oil declined 0.16% to US$96.04 per barrel. The rupiah was traded relatively flat at Rp9,680 against the US Dollar. (hans@theindonesiatoday.com)
