JAKARTA (Yosefardi) – Composite index of the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) fell 0.6% to 4,578 this morning as investors opted to lock in profit in some stocks after their recent gains.

IDX opened higher this morning but then turned to negative territory as regional markets, which were in mixed trade, did not help sentiment in local bourse.

In Jakarta bourse, Adaro Energy fell 1.4%, Astra International declined 1.55%, Alam Sutera shed 1.4%, Bank Negara Indonesia dropped 2.86%, Bank Mandiri down 1.15%, Lippo Karawaci lost 2.34%, and Telkom slipped 0.43%.

Other losers were Borneo Lumbung (-5%), Global Mediacom (-3.16%), Japfa Comfeed (-6.7%), and Visi Media (-2.9%).

Among gainers were Bank Central Asia (+1.46%), Bumi Serpong Damai (+0.65%), and Bumi Resources (+3.19%).

Nymex’s crude oil increased 0.3% to US$103.40 per barrel in Asian trading this morning.
