JAKARTA (Yosefardi) – Profit taking hit some blue chip stocks, led by Charoen Pokphand, which lost 11.7% Monday (Sept 30).

More than 22 million Charoen (CPIN) shares were exchanged hands. Kalbe Farma, a giant pharmaceutical player, also collapsed 9.23% with over 105 million shares traded.

Media Nusantara Citra (MNCN), parent of RCTI and GlobalTV, also lost 10% with over 24 million shares exchanged hands.

Other blue chip stocks with substantial decline were BRI (-5.23%), Bank Mandiri (-4.22%), Jasa Marga (-8.77%), Indocement (-5.26%), and Semen Indonesia (-5.8%).
