JAKARTA (Yosefardi) – Coordinating Minister for Politic, Law & Security Affairs Tedjo Edhy Purdijatno revealed over the weekend that President Joko “Jokowi” Widodo is now starting the assessment process over the potential candidates for becoming the next Navy Chief of Staff (KSAL) and the next Air Force Chief of Staff (KSAU) to replace Admiral Marsetio and Air Marshal Ida Bagus Putu Dunia, who will soon enter their mandatory retirement ages.
In a related progress, Cabinet Secretary Andi Widjajanto said the Highest Council of the Indonesian Military (TNI) is holding a meeting to name the candidates of the next KSAL and the next KSAU. He said the Council will submit its recommendation to President Jokowi next week.
The current Navy Chief of Staff Admiral Marsetio will soon enter his mandatory retirement age on Dec. 3, 2014.
While Air Force Chief of Staff Air Marshal Ida Bagus Putu Dunia will enter his mandatory retirement age on Feb. 20, 2015. (haryantosuharman@yosefardi.com)
