JAKARTA (Yosefardi) – President Joko “Jokowi” Widodo is scheduled on Thursday (Apr. 16) to visit Bandung city in West Java in order to monitor the preparation of the 60th commemoration of the Asia-Africa Conference (KAA).
Chief of the President’s Staff office Gen. (ret) Luhut Binsar Pandjaitan, who has been tasked to lead the preparation of the KAA, confirmed the President’s visit to the press.
The KAA itself will be held for five days from Apr. 19 to Apr. 24, 2015 in Jakarta and Bandung. According to Luhut, 30 out of 109 head states invited to the KAA have confirmed to attend the conference.
The joint security forces from the National Police and the Indonesian Military (TNI) is ready to secure the five days conference. (haryantosuharman@yosefardi.com)
