JAKARTA (Yosefardi) – President Joko “Jokowi” Widodo confirmed on Wednesday (Oct. 22) morning that he will announce the new cabinet line-up either this afternoon or evening, Kompas.com reported.
Jokowi said he will make the announcement somewhere in Pluit, Tanah Abang, or Tanjung Priok.
Vice President Jusuf Kalla, meanwhile, earlier stated on Tuesday that the President will announce the new cabinet at the State Palace.
In the meantime, the structure of Jokowi’s cabinet has been widely circulated in the media this morning.
According to the reports, Jokowi’s cabinet is consists of 32 ministries, including four coordinating ministries.
The four coordinating ministries are (1) Coordinating Ministry for Politics, Law & Security Affairs; (2) Coordinating Ministry for Maritime, Energy & Mineral Resources Affairs; (3) Coordinating Ministry for Economy; and (4) Coordinating Ministry for Human Development.
Other than four coordinating ministries, there will be some ministries with new names among those 32 ministries as a result of merger and separation. They are reportedly Ministry of Culture and Elementary & Middle Education (Budikdasmen), Ministry of Research, Technology, and Higher Education (Ristek Dikti), Ministry of Agrarian & Spatial, and Ministry of Public Works & Public Housing.
