HONG KONG (Yosefardi) – PRADA S.p.A. booked net income of 188.59 million euro in the first six months ended July 31, 2015, declined 23% from 244.85 million euro in the corresponding period of 2014.
Net revenues grew by 4.2% to 1.82 billion euro from previous 1.75 billion euro while Ebitda fell 10.7% to 440 million euro from earlier 492.8 million euro.
The results suffered from the ongoing slowdowns in the Asia Pacific region. In particular, the contractions recorded in Hong Kong and Macau had a significant impact on performances for the period, both in terms of sales and margins.
In Asia Pacific, net sales amounted to Euro 610.3 million, down by 1.4% compared to Euro 619.2 million reported for the same period of 2014 (-17.5% at constant exchange rates).
The company spent capital expenditure (capex) of 176.23 million in the first half, lower than 289.61 million capex in the first half of 2014.
