HONG KONG (Yosefardi) – Prada’s Asia Pacific market grew by 17.7% in the first half ended July 31, 2013 with a significant contribution made by Greater China sales.
Asia Pacific recorded the higher growth than America (13.5%), Europe (5.7%), and Japan (16.4%). Prada S.p.A recorded consolidated sales revenues of 1.7 billion Euro in the first half, an 11.6% increase from the corresponding period of 2012.
According to the company’s preliminary results submitted to the stock exchange of Hong Kong Thursday (Aug 8), the Prada brand posted 14.3% growth, while Miu Miu inched up 3.7%, and Church’s 5.1%.
In the first half, Prada opened 30 new stores, taking the total number of directly operated stores to 491, consisted of 301 Prada stores, 133 Miu Miu stores, 49 Church’s stores, and 8 Car Shoe stores.
