JAKARTA (Yosefardi) –The National Police’s Criminal Investigation Division (Bareskrim Polri) is expected to question Evita Herawati Legowo, former Ministry of Energy’s Director General for Oil & Gas, on Wednesday (May. 27) related to further investigation into corruption case surrounding the supply of condensates to PT Trans Pacific Petrochemical Indotama (TPPI).
Director of Economy & Special Crimes at the Bareskrim Polri Brig. Gen. Victor E. Simanjuntak told Kompas.com this morning that Evita will be questioned as a witness in the case.
Evita Herawati Legowo served as Oil & Gas DG from May 2008 to January 2013 under the administration of Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono (SBY). Evita served said position during the term of three Energy Ministers. They are Purnomo Yusgiantoro, Darwin Zahedy Saleh, and Jero Wacik.
As reported earlier, the investigator team from the Bareskrim Polri have raided offices of the SKKMigas and PT TPPI in Jakarta, Tuesday (May. 5). From the raids, the Police has seized documents and evidences. State losses is estimated to be around hundreds of million USD. The Police has also questioned several high-profile figures as witnesses in this case. (
