JAKARTA (Yosefardi) – The Chief of the National Police Gen. Sutarman refused the request from the House of Representatives (DPR) to pick up Vice President Boediono for being questioned regarding the mega scandal of Rp6.7 trillion bailout to Bank Century, Kompas.com reported.
Sutarman argued that the request proposed by the DPR has not yet regulated.
As reported earlier, the DPR has demanded the National Police Office to pick up vice president Boediono by force after the Vice President rejected the second summon to attend the questioning at the Parliament building.
In a related progress, the prosecutor team from the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) said they might summon Boediono to testify in the next trial. On Thursday’s trial (March 6), the prosecutor team has mentioned Boediono’s role in the Bank Century scandal. (haryantos@yosefardi.biz)
