JAKARTA (Yosefardi) – The investigator team from the National Police’s Criminal Investigation (Bareskrim Polri) raided the private residence of Denny Indrayana, graft suspect and former Vice Minister of Law & Human Rights, on Tuesday (Apr. 14).

The police also raided an office at the Plaza Asia in Jalan Sudirman, Central Jakarta, related to further investigation into the payment gateway system case.

Denny Indrayana, also a law expert from the Gadjah Mada University (UGM), has been named as a graft suspect in a case related to the payment gateway system at the Law Ministry. Denny has been charged with Article 2 paragraph 1, Article 3, and Article 23 of the Anti-Corruption Law juncto Article 421 and Article 55 Paragraph 1 of the Criminal Code (KUHP).

The Police has previously questioned a dozen of witnesses, including former Minister of Law & Human Rights Amir Syamsuddin, Chairman of Democratic Party Honorary Board. Amir Syamsuddin and Denny Indrayana led the Ministry of Law & Human Rights from 2011 to 2014 under Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono (SBY) administration. (haryantosuharman@yosefardi.com)
