JAKARTA (Yosefardi) – The National Police’s Criminal Investigation Unit (Bareskrim Polri) has on Monday (July 27) examined two commissioners of the Judicial Commission (KY), Suparman Marzuki and Taufiqurahman Syahuri, as suspects in a defamation case over judge Sarpin Rizaldi.
The Chief of the Bareskrim Polri Comr. Gen. Budi Waseso, however, told Kompas.com that the police will stop their investigation into the two KY’s commissioners if they should have to reach consensus with judge Sarpin.
As reported earlier, the Bareskrim has named Suparman Marzuki and Taufiqurahman Syahuri as suspects following a report filed by judge Sarpin on Mar. 30, 2015. Judge Sarpin reported Suparman and Taufiqurahman for allegedly defaming him.
The KY, meanwhile, earlier has imposed 6 months of suspension to the judge. (haryantosuharman@yosefardi.com)
