JAKARTA (Yosefardi) – The investigator team from the National Police’s Criminal Investigation Division (Bareskrim Polri) has questioned Abraham “Haji Lulung” Lunggana, politician from the United Development Party (PPP), related to a graft case of the procurement of Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) for public schools in Jakarta.
The police’s investigator team has questioned Lulung, who is also deputy speaker of the Jakarta Legislative Council (DPRD Jakarta), for eleven hours on Monday (May. 4) starting from 10:00 am to 9:00 pm of Jakarta time.
Lulung was questioned as a witness for Alex Oesman and Zaenal Soleman, the two suspects in the case.
The UPS procurement graft case came to fore after Jakarta Governor Basuki “Ahok” Tjahaja Purnama reported to the Jakarta Metro Police his suspicion over the abuse of authority in the procurement process. Ahok suspects unlawful inflation of costs up to Rp5.8 billion per UPS unit. State losses is expected to be around Rp50 billion.
