National Police Chief General Sutarman said his institution will transparantly report the use of the budget. Sutarman, however, said that the Ministry of Finance has yet granted the proposed budget.
In order to securing the next year’s election, Sutarman revealed that Police will soon hold a joint meeting with the Indonesian Military (TNI).
The next year’s elections itself are expected to start with the legislative election on April 9, 2013.
As reported earlier, politicians and observers have been repeatedly asking to both police and military to remain neutral before, during, and after the elections.
