JAKARTA (Yosefardi) – The National Police’s Criminal Investigation (Bareskrim Polri) has decided to postpone their further investigation into the case implicating Bambang Widjojanto, former Deputy Chief of the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK).
Chief of the Bareskrim Polri Comr. Gen. Budi Waseso confirmed the postponement to Kompas.com this morning (Mar. 12).
The three-star police general, however, stressed that the police didn’t stop the case. Budi said the dossier of Bambang case is almost complete and ready to be submitted to the Attorney General Office (AGO).
Bambang was named as suspect in a case related to the post-election dispute of Kotawaringin Barat regency. He was even detained for two days before being released on Jan. 25, 2015. (haryantosuharman@yosefardi.com)
