JAKARTA (Yosefardi) – PT Pertamina Gas (Pertagas) commences the construction of gas pipe connecting Muara Karang to Muara Tawar, to supply gas for state utility firm PT Perusahaan Listrik Negara (PLN) and industry sector in West Java.

The project costs US$65.94 million, equivalent Rp758.3 billion. The pipe, with diameter of 24 inches, has capacity of 270 mmscfd.

The construction, by consortium of Hutama Karya-Moeladi-Promatcon, will take one year. The commissioning phase is scheduled for second quarter of 2014. This gas pipe project adopts open access concept.
