MAKASSAR (Yosefardi) – State port operator PT Pelabuhan Indonesia (Pelindo) IV booked net profit of Rp530 billion in 2013, grew by 32.5% compared to 2012.
The company booked revenues of Rp1.8 trillion, increased 38.5% from Rp1.3 trillion in previous year.The company targets to book revenue of Rp2 trillion this year.
It allocates capital expenditure (capex) of Rp1.2 trillion for this year, used to fund the new port development and equipment purchase and rehabilitation.
Makassar port authority earlier said the construction of new port for passengers will start next year. The government allocates Rp1 trillion from the state budget for this project.
