JAKARTA (Yosefardi) – State port operator PT Pelabuhan Indonesia III is now building gas power plant, which costs Rp1 trillion, to support the construction of port in Lamong bay, Surabaya, East Java.
Husein Latief, commercial director of Pelindo III, said the power plant will have capacity of 2×25 megawatts (MW). Its construction, supported by PT Rekayasa Industri (Rekind), is expected to complete in 2016.
Pelindo III allocates Rp3.5 trillion for Lamong bay port project, funded by internal cash (Rp2.8 trillion) and loan from overseas lenders (Rp1.6 trillion).
Pelindo III will also build automated container transport (ACT) connecting Lamong bay port with Tanjung Perak port.
