JAKARTA (Yosefardi) – State port operator PT Pelabuhan Indonesia (Pelindo) II, through its unit PT Akses Pelabuhan Indonesia (API), acquired 45% stake in PT MTD CTP Expressway controlled by Malaysia-based MTD Capital Bhd.

MTD CTP Expressway is holder of Cibitung-Cilincing toll road consession with 34.8 km length. API targets to start contruction of Cibitung-Cilincing toll road in 2016 and to commence operation by 2018.

API, MTD CTP Expressway, and PT Nusacipta Etika Pratama had in Tuesday (April 14) signed a conditional share subscription agreement and shareholders agreement. PT Nusacipta holds 5% interest in the project.

Pelindo II will also focus on the government’s sea toll project, the construction of new port in South Sumatera, West Kalimantan, and Sorong (West Papua).
