LONDON (Yosefardi) – Premier Oil Plc claimed the Pelikan and Naga wellhead platforms were successfully installed offshore Indonesia and good progress is being made on the subsea installation and tie-in.
“First gas from both fields remains on track for the second half of 2014,” Premier Oil said in its interim management statement today.
The Pelikan & Naga projects, which marks the next phase of gas into Singapore, were sanctioned in April 2012. Premier Oil has 28.67% interest in both projects.
The Pelikan and Naga fields will be dedicated to maintaining the gas profiles of gas sales agreement (GSA1) and GSA 2 respectively and will be tied in to the new Gajah Baru central processing platform for export via the WNTS.
Work will then commence on the next development project, the tie-in of the Gajah Puteri field, to maintain gas deliverability in the future. Project sanction for Pelikan and Naga was achieved in the first half of 2012 with first gas expected during 2014.
Meanwhile at Dua, installation of two out of the three subsea structures has been completed and both flowlines installed, tested and tied into those structures. “The umbilical and risers have also been pulled into the FPSO and the umbilical laid and tied into the manifold subsea structure,” Premier Oil added.
