JAKARTA (Yosefardi) – The 2017 Jakarta gubernatorial election will be one of crucial issues to be discussed in the three-day national leadership meeting (Rapimnas) of the ruling party PDI-P scheduled to be held at the Hall D of JI Expo Kemayoran in Central Jakarta over this weekend.
The secretary general of PDI-P Hasto Kristiyanto told the press on Thursday (Jan. 7) that there’ll be a commission that specifically discussing about the 2017 Jakarta gubernatorial election during the Party’s Rapimnas.
Hasto, however, said PDI-P has not yet decided on who will be endorsed by the party to run in Jakarta election. He said PDI-P’s Jakarta governor candidate will be only announced in the mid of 2016.
The PDI-P Rapimnas itself will be held for three days on January 10 – 12, 2016.
President Joko “Jokowi” Widodo is scheduled to attend the opening of the PDI-P Rapimnas, in which the President will deliver his speech to the Rapimnas’ participants in a closed-door session. (haryantosuharman@yosefardi.com)
