JAKARTA (Yosefardi) – PDI-P lawmaker I Wayan Koster has been summoned for a questioning on Tuesday (Nov. 4) by the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) related to further investigation into a graft case of athlete dormitory project.
KPK’s Head for News & Informations Priharsa Nugraha explained that KPK will question Wayan Koster as witness for Rizal Abdullah, former Head of South Sumatra’s Public Works office and one of suspects in the case.
Other than Wayan Koster, Priharsa added that KPK will also question former Democratic Party lawmaker Angelina Sondakh this afternoon.
Previously, KPK had questioned Wayan Koster for several times in his capacity as member of the House of Representatives (DPR) Commission X (overseeing education, youth, and sports). The athlete dormitory project was discussed between the Ministry of Youth & Sports and the Commission X.
Angelina Sondakh, one of suspects in the case, had been sentenced to 4.5 years in prison by panel of judges at the Jakarta Corruption Court. Later on, the Supreme Court dropped heavier jail term from 4.5 years to 12 years in prison. (haryantos@yosefardi.biz)
