Finance minister Agus Martowardojo told lawmakers Monday (January 14) that tax payments from 900 large taxpayers in 10 months of 2012 dropped US$7 billion.
The State received tax payments of Rp835 trillion or about US$87 billion last year, about 5.65% below target, consisted of income tax of Rp464.7 trillion, value added tax Rp337.6 trillion, land and building tax Rp29 trillion, and others Rp4.2 trillion.
This year, the government sets tax and excise revenues target of Rp1,193 trillion or about US$120 billion, assuming a tax ration of 12.9%.
