SYDNEY (Yosefardi) – The Parit Minyak-3 well at Kisaran Block, Sumatra is expected to reach a total depth of 2487 meters in 40 days.
The New Zealand Oil and Gas (NZOG) said that as of Sunday, August 11, a 17 1/2 inch hole has been drilled to 509 meters. The next operation is to continue drilling to 547 meters for the setting of 13 3/8 inch casing.
“The PM-3 well is expected to take around 40 days to drill to an expected total depth of 8160 feet (2487m),” NZOG informed ASX Monday.
NZOG holds a 22.5% interest in the production sharing contract, while Pacific Oil & Gas 55% and Pacific Oil & Gas (Sumatera) ltd, a subsidiary of Bukit Energy Inc with 22.5%.
