JAKARTA (Yosefardi) – The National Mandate Party (PAN), one of members of the Red-and-White opposition group (KMP), has officially jumped ship into the Great Indonesia ruling coalition (KIH) in order to support Jokowi-Kalla administration.

The joining of PAN into Jokowi-Kalla ruling coalition has been declared in a press briefing at the State Palace, Jakarta, on Wednesday (Sep. 2).

Present in said press briefing were, among others, President Joko “Jokowi” Widodo, chairman of PAN Zulkifli Hasan, secretary general of PAN Eddy Soeparno, chairman of PAN’s Advisory Council Soetrisno Bachir, and chairman of Hanura Party Wiranto.

Zulkifli Hasan, who is also Speaker of the People’s Consultative Assembly (MPR), assured that there is no political transaction behind the joining of his party to the ruling coalition. (haryantosuharman@yosefardi.com)
