JAKARTA (Yosefardi) – Crude palm oil (CPO) retreated RM21 to RM2290 per ton for the benchmark December 2013 contracts on Bursa Malaysia Derivatives Thursday (Oct 3rd).
January 2014 contracts also down RM19 to RM2293 per ton, while February 2014 contracts down to RM2297 per ton. December 2013 contracts were traded in the range of RM2287-2299 per ton.
Shares of palm oil producers, meanwhile, were mostly in negative territory this morning. Felda Global and Kulim Berhad down 0.7% and 0.9% respectively in Kuala Lumpur, while First Resources lost 0.8% in Singapore.
In Jakarta, Dharma Satya Nusantara, JA Wattie, MAG Plantation, and Smart Tbk were in red, while BW Plantation gained 2.53%.
