JAKARTA (Yosefardi) – The benchmark April 2014 contracts of crude palm oil (CPO) recovered RM42 to RM2582 per ton Monday (January 20) after several days of corrections.

March 2014 contracts also regained grounds RM26 to RM2571 per ton on Bursa Malaysia Derivatives.

The benchmark April contracts were traded as high as RM2585 per ton, while May 2014 contracts at RM2590/ton.

Plantation shares were mostly in positive territory. In Jakarta, PP London Sumatra Indonesia (LSIP) gained 6.35%, while Astra Agro Lestari (AALI) advanced 4.67%. BW Plantation and Salim Ivomas also gained more than 2% each.

In Kuala Lumpur, Felda Global and IOI Corp gained 1.4% and 0.5% respectively, but Kulim and KL Kepong lost 0.6% and 0.51%.
