JAKARTA (Yosefardi) – Crude palm oil (CPO) advanced in the futures market Tuesday (August 27). The benchmark November 2013 contracts gained RM9 to RM2443/ton on Bursa Malaysia Derivatives.
December 2013 contracts also gained RM14 to RM2439/ton, while September contracts moved to above RM2500 per ton.
Plantation shares, which gained substantially Monday, retreated Tuesday in the region. Wilmar International lost 1.58% in Singapore, while Sime Darby slips 0.85% in Kuala Lumpur.
In Jakarta, Astra Agro Lestari down 0.27%, while BW Plantation retreated 1.3%. PP London Sumatra also down 0.74%, while Sampoerna Agro fell 3.83%. Salim Ivomas is the only gainer with 1.45%.
