JAKARTA (Yosefardi) – The benchmark November 2013 contracts of crude palm oil (CPO) opened down by RM3 to RM2444 per ton on Bursa Malaysia Derivatives this morning.
December 2013 contracts also declined RM2 to RM2444 per ton while January 2014 contracts fell RM2 to RM2447. October 2013 contracts declined RM4 to RM2447/ton.
Plantation shares gained this morning in line with broader market which moves in green. While palm oil in future market inched down.
BW Plantation led by gaining 4.4%, London Sumatra rose 0.67%, Salim Ivomas increased 1.35%, and Sampoerna Agro gained 1.6%. While others were flat.
In Singapore, Wilmar International gained 0.97%. While First Resource and IndoAgri were flat. In Malaysia, IOI Corporation rose 0.37% while IJM Plantation was unchanged.
