KUALA LUMPUR (Yosefardi) – The benchmark March 2014 contracts of crude palm oil (CPO) declined further by RM20 to RM2541 per ton on Bursa Malaysia Derivatives despite reports about falling stockpile.

April 2014 contracts also lost RM19 to RM2550 per ton Wednesday (January 8).

Shares of palm oil producers, however, were mixed in the region after several days of corrections. Astra Agro Lestari gained 5.35% in Jakarta, while PP London Sumatra inched up 0.3%.

MAG Plantation, Tunas Baru Lampung, and BW Plantation continued their corrections in Jakarta, while First Resources regained 2.94% in Singapore. Wilmar also inched up 0.9%, while Golden Agri and Indofood Agri were flat.
