JAKARTA (Yosefardi) – Crude palm oil (CPO) retreated in the futures market Friday (August 30). The benchmark November 2013 contracts declined RM35 to RM2440/ton on Bursa Malaysia Derivatives.

December 2013 contracts also fell RM33 to RM2440/ton, while September contracts retreated RM31 to RM2444/ton.

In line with market, most plantation shares in Jakarta bourse gained this morning.

BW Plantation jumped 6.3%, London Sumatra lifted 3.47%, and Salim Ivomas hiked 2.78%. Astra Agro also climbed 4.08% and Sampoerna Agro gained 1.13%.

In Singapore, Indofood Agri fell 1.25% and Wilmar International down 0.32%. While Golden Agri and First Resources gained 0.89% and 2.26% respectively.

In Kuala Lumpur, IJM Plantations and KL Kepong were flat.
