JAKARTA (Yosefardi) – The opposition group, Red-and-White coalition (KMP), has controlled the leadership of the House of Representatives’ (DPR) working commissions and other legislative bodies known as the AKD (Alat Kelengkapan Dewan). Earlier the Red-and-White has already secured the leadership of the House.
Today, Oct. 29, each of 11 working commissions has conducted the meeting to elect its leadership. The election, however, was only participated by five factions of political parties from Red-and-White coalition (Gerindra, Golkar, Democratic Party, PAN, and PKS).
Five other factions from the Great Indonesia coalition (KIH) did not attend the election as they reject the mechanism applied to elect the leadership of 11 working commissions and other legislative bodies within the DPR.
That 5 factions of KIH (PDI-P, PKB, Nasdem, PPP, Hanura) insist to hold their own version of the election for AKD’s leadership, adopting the proportional system wherein each faction ought to get proportional seats. (haryantos@yosefardi.biz)
