JAKARTA (Yosefardi) – Nymex crude oil surged another 2.48% to US$106.5 per barrel in New York trading Wednesday (July 10).

Energy shares, however, end mixed worldwide. ExxonMobil and Chevron slipped 0.56% and 0.3% in New York, while BP gained 1% in London.

Niko Resources, which has interest in 20 oil and gas blocks in Indonesia, dropped 3% in Toronto, while Shell gained 1.25%.

Earlier in Jakarta, Energi Mega Persada surged 7%, while Medco Energy dropped 3%. In Hong Kong, CNOOC Ltd slipped 0.46%, while PetroChina gained 1.56%.
