JAKARTA (Yosefardi) – The government targets investment in upstream oil and gas sector to reach US$25.64 billion this year, of which investment on production accounts for US$14.9 billionĀ (2012: US$11.96 billion).

The activities to be undertaken this year include the 2D seismic survey for 9,020 kilometers length, 3D seismic survey (11,633 square kilometers), exploration well drilling (205 wells), development (1,364 wells), work over (932 wells), and well services (33,060 wells).

On 2014 state budget, oil lifting is targeted for 870,000 barrels per day and natural gas lifting is targeted for 7,175 british thermal unit per day. This is equal to 2.11 million barrel oil equivalent per day. The government target to get revenue of US$30.6 billion from oil and gas sales this year.
