JAKARTA (Yosefardi) – Speaker of the House of Representatives (DPR) Setya Novanto and his deputy Fadli Zon refused to answer the second call from the House Honorary Council (MKD DPR) for questioning session on Monday (Oct. 12).
Both Novanto and Fadli have been initially scheduled to give testimonies to the MKD DPR related to their controversial attendance at a press event, which was set as a part of Donald Trump’s presidential nomination campaign event in New York, United States of America, last month.
The MKD DPR’s deputy head Junimart Girsang stated that they will soon summon Novanto and Fadli for once again. Should the Golkar and the Gerindra politicians remain adamant to answer the upcoming third call, Junimart said the MKD will ask the Police’s assistance to bring the two politicians to attend the questioning session.
As reported earlier, the MKD DPR has launched official examination over allegation of ethical violation committed by Novanto and Fadli following their controversial attendance at Donald Trump’s presidential nomination campaign event.
Fadli himself earlier told the press that he and Novanto was, among others, discussed Trump’s investment in Bali and West Java. Trump is known as partner of media mogul and MNC Group’s owner Hary Tanoe in property business in Bali and West Java. (haryantosuharman@yosefardi.
