DENVER (Yosefardi) – Newmont Mining Corporation reported preliminary second quarter attributable gold production of 6 million ounces from Batu Hijau, Indonesia, dropped 25% from 7 million ounces in second quarter of 2012. While copper production reached 18 million pounds, fell 10% from previous 20 million pounds.

Preliminary attributable gold and copper sales were 6 million ounces and 18 million pounds, respectively.

The London PM Fix average gold price for the quarter was $1,415 per ounce.

Meanwhile, Directorate General of Mineral and Mining said divestment of 7% shares of PT Newmont Nusa Tenggara, is still waiting the decision of Minister of Finance.
