JAKARTA (Yosefardi) – Government of Indonesia has awarded the extension of copper concentrate expoort for PT Newmont Nusa Tenggara, a copper-gold mining company in West Nusa Tenggara.
The extension is effective for next 6 months (until September 18, 2015) with total export quota of 477,000 tons.
For period of September 2014 to March 2015, Newmont was awarded export quota of 304,515 tons of copper concentrate.
The government of Indonesia and Newmont have last year reached a deal on the mining contract renegotiation, after Newmont deciding to withdrawn its international arbitration lawsuit against Indonesia related to the cooper concentrate export ban.
