JAKARTA (Yosefardi) – National cement consumption reached 5.32 million tons in September 2013, inched up 3.2% from 5.16 million tons in September 2012.
Compared to August 2013 (3.39 million tons), the figure jumped 56.93%.
Indonesian Cement Association (ASI) reported cement consumption for Sumatra island grew by 47%, Java island 74%, Kalimantan 70%, Sulawesi 30%, Nusa Tenggara 10%.
Cement consumption is targeted to grow by 8% to 60 million tons this year, compared to 54.9 million tons in 2012.
