JAKARTA (Yosefardi) – Minister of Energy & Mineral Resources (ESDM) Sudirman Said has appointed Naryanto Wagimin as the ESDM Ministry’s acting Director General for Oil & Gas replacing Edy Hermantoro, who has just been sacked from the position.
Sudirman revealed to the press that he has signed the decision letter regarding Naryanto’s appointment.
Naryanto, meanwhile, said that Minister Sudirman has ordered him to eliminate various bottlenecks in oil & gas sector, including on the extension of more than 20 production sharing contracts (KKS).
Prior to the appointment, Naryanto serves as Director for Upstream Oil & Gas at the ESDM Ministry’s Directorate General for Oil & Gas.
Born in Purworejo, Central Java, on Feb. 20, 1961, Naryanto obtained his bachelors degree in geology engineering from the Yogyakarta’s Gadjah Mada University (UGM) in 1988. He started his study at the UGM in 1980, same year with President Joko “Jokowi” Widodo. (haryantos@yosefardi.biz)
