JAKARTA (Yosefardi) – The delegation of Muhammadiyah, the second largest Muslim organization in Indonesia, visited the State Palace on Tuesday (Sep. 22) morning for a meeting with President Joko “Jokowi” Widodo.
Muhammadiyah delegation was led by its new chairman Haedar Nashir. Accompanying Haedar were Yunahar Ilyas, Dadang Kahmad, Dahlan Rais, Agus Taufiqurrahman, Siti Noordjanah Djohantini, Abdul Mu’ti, Agung Danarto, Suyatno, and Masyitoh Chusnan.
Last month, Haedar Nashir has been elected as new chairman of Muhammadiyah replacing Din Syamsuddin in the Muhammadiyah national congress (muktamar). He will lead the Muhammadiyah for the next five years. (haryantosuharman@yosefardi.com)
