JAKARTA (Yosefardi) – National motorcycles sales grew by 10% to 729,279 units in April 2014, compared to 660,505 units in April 2013, mainly supported by the distribution recovery and increasing demand ahead of Lebaran Day.

The Indonesia Motorcycles Industry Association (AISI) reported PT Astra Honda Motor sold 445,741 units, followed by PT Yamaha Motor 242,530 units, Suzuki 23,019 units, Kawasaki 16,441 units, and TVS 1,548 units.

Year to date, Honda sold 1,700,403 with market share of 62.52%, Yamaha 859,861 units (31.62%), Suzuki 106,093 units (3.9%), Kawasaki 47,702 units (1.75%), and TVS 5,595 units (0.21%).
