JAKARTA (Yosefardi) – National motorcycles sales also fell 17.28% to 1.64 million units in the first quarter of this year, from 1.99 million units in the same period of last year, due to the decline in purchasing power along with the increase in fuel prices and basic needs, as well as the decline of global commodities prices.
The Indonesia Motorcycles Industry Association (AISI) reported Honda sold 1.09 units of motorcycles during the first quarter of 2015, representing 66.49% of total national sales.
While Yamaha sold 464,469 units (28.21% market share), Kawasaki 45,739 units (2.78%), Suzuki 36,086 units (2.19%), and TVS 5,321 units (0.32%).
