JAKARTA (Yosefardi) – The Constitutional Court has entirely rejected on Thursday (August 21) evening Prabowo Subianto-Hatta Rajasa’s plea to overturn the victory of Joko “Jokowi” Widodo and his running mate Jusuf Kalla in July 9 presidential election. The appeal was submitted by a losing candidate.
The court ruling has confirmed Jokowi and Kalla as President-elect and Vice President-elect of the Republic. Both, as scheduled, will be sworn in as the new President and Vice President of the Republic on October 20, 2014.
