JAKARTA (Yosefardi) – Minister of Energy & Mineral Resources (ESDM) Sudirman Said has on Monday (Nov. 16) filed a report to the House of Representatives’ (DPR) Ethics Council regarding a lawmaker allegedly selling President Joko “Jokowi” Widodo and VP Jusuf Kalla’s names to get Freeport Indonesia’s shares in exchange for helping the company to accelerate contract extension.
Sudirman, however, refused to reveal the identity of the lawmaker. Sudirman also refused to reveal the lawmaker’s political party and commission at the DPR.
Sudirman also stated that he would not file a report to the National Police yet against the lawmaker.
According to Sudirman, said lawmaker asked 11% and 9% of Freeport’s shares for the President and Vice President respectively. (haryantosuharman@yosefardi.com)
