JAKARTA (Yosefardi) – Minister of Youth and Sports Roy Suryo underlined that he strongly demands to all parties to bring no political interests into the U-19 national soccer team.
Roy only supports the reality that the players are honored with a bonus or gift by the local figures from the home of the players.
“If they (players) were invited to gala dinner held by political parties from other regional leaders, it must be questioned,” he commented.
Media recently reported one player of the U-19 National Team, Maldini Pali, have received a house worth Rp600 million from West Sulawesi Regional Administration. The gift was directly given by Governor Anwar Adnan Saleh. (indrab@yosefardi.biz)
