VANCOUVER (Yosefardi) – MicroCoal International Inc, a subsidiary of Carbon Friendly Solutions Inc., has sealed a Memorandum of Understanding with PT PLN Batubara, a unit of State-utility PT PLN, for the use of MicroCoal’s technology.
PLN Batubara intends to integrate the use of MicroCoal technology to increase the heat value of the coal used by its coal power plants.
Both companies have agreed to negotiate and discuss the financing, including construction costs, of building and operating MicroCoal at one or more of PLN;s coal-based facilities in Indonesia.
“The company expects to shortly receive coal from PTNLNB and will conduct testing based on their coal and boiler specifications,” MicroCoal said on its press statement.
MicroCoal Inc. has an internationally patented technology that is expected to improve coal-fired utilities’ economic performance by reducing input costs, improving operations and simultaneously reducing their environmental footprint.
