JAKARTA (Yosefardi) – Property developer PT Metropolitan Land Tbk (MTLA) opts to postpone its hotel expansion this year following the government”s plan to cut its budget for meeting, incentive, convention, and exhibition (MICE).
President Joko “Jokowi” Widodo has issued policy which prevents civil servants to hold meetings outside of the government”s offices. This would surely be negative for casino online hotels which provide large spaces/rooms for the meeting activity.
MTLA has previously expanded new hotels in Bali, Bekasi, Cirebon, and Lampung. It targets to book marketing sales of Rp1.29 trillion for this year.
MTLA booked marketing sales of Rp740 billion in 2014. The company allocates capital expenditure (capex) of Rp530 billion for this year.
