JAKARTA (Yosefardi) – Investors focused buying shares of retailer PT Matahari Putra Prima Tbk (MPPA) this morning. At 9.54 am Jakarta time, MPPA gained 4.23% to Rp3575 per share with over 43 million shares exchanged hands.
On Monday (Jan 26), CVC Capital Partners and GIC Holdings, partners in Asia Color Company Ltd, reportedly sold 8% MPPA shares to undisclosed buyers for Rp3.67 trillion (Rp15400 per share). That means the buyers agree on a valuation of Rp45.9 trillion.
MPPA plans to accelerate its bank loan payment which totals Rp1.2 trillion as at September 2014, declined 34.9% fromv Rp1.9 trillion as at September 2013. Currently MPPA has cash in hand of Rp1.6 trillion.
