SYDNEY (Yosefardi) – Maluku province’s new spatial plan paves the way for flexible development of Finders Resources Ltd’s copper cathode project in Wetar Island, Maluku.
Finders informed ASX yesterday that the spatial plan rezones the entire Kali Kuning ore reserve and processing area and all but four hectares of the Lerokis ore reserve as non-forestry.
“That allows Finders significantly more flexibility in developing and operating the project, such as increased waste dump capacity and flexibility and improvements in the production profile due to increased stacking area,” Finders said.
Finders, where some Indonesian businessmen are key shareholders, plan to operate 25,000 tons per annum copper cathode plant in the island of Wetar.
